Thought for the Day: Here are a few interesting articles on ADHD, education, how your personality may impact on your choice of places to live, comics, quotes, & photography. Enjoy!
Thought for the Day: This has been a busy week. On Wednesday, I had the pleasure and honor of being interviewed by Chicago documentary film maker, Steve Simon for the film, "Feeling Judo," which will be released later this year. House guests later in the week and attempts to work and enjoy the summer have distracted me from writing the blog, but here is a great compilation of finds for this weekend's magazine.
Included in the magazine are articles on psychology, depression, parenting, photography. music (Amy Winehouse, Robin Williams and John Lennon) and of course an array of funny videos (Kermit the Frog's ALS Challenge) and GIFs for Sunday's comics.
I hope you enjoy these articles and finds and have a great end of the summer!
Thought for the Day: Yesterday I was too busy to post and today I came up with an idea to try for the summer. I don't know about you, but when I am working during the summer, I like to have as much time as possible to get out and enjoy the weather. I decided to use the Flipboard technology to create a weekend magazine, instead of posting 3 separate posts for Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I shared some interesting articles to read on a variety of psychology, health and inspirational topics (including some TedTalks), some great photos, like the one on the cover of the magazine (Which is actually more beautiful with animation), an amazing musical video about an orchestra made up of instruments made from recycled garbage and how the music is enriching the lives of impoverished children and multiple comics and funny photos & videos.
I tried to make it light and fun to read on your cell phones wherever the summer weather may take you! Let me know how you like this format & have a great weekend!
Thought for the Day: I love Google+. It has exposed me to some wonderful communities including many amazing photographers. I had fun putting two photos together to bring you the clown in the photo above. The second "comic" strip photo for today comes from a new Google + friend +Assad Bangash. Read on to see his great photo that could give us a dog's view of the world...
Thought for the Day: I am still learning how to maximize the power of Flipboard to bring you some wonderful finds. Today's magazine brings a mix of stories, amazing photos and one hypnotic video of designs drawn on a spinning wheel. The story from Africa shows pictures of how they are fighting the spread of a deadly attack of Ebola in Africa. It is striking how courageous the doctors are as they battle a deadly image in such remote place with minimal supplies. Another story explains the dire conditions for the mentally ill in our country. Hopefully, ObamaCare may help turn around and end the trend of warehousing the mentally in our jails. Have we returned to the dark ages? What can we do to stop this trend? I hope you like the photos of nature and architecture as much as I did. Take a look...
Thought for the Day: The best find this week is the free download of my book, The Wake Up and Dream Challenge, which starts this Sunday at 12 AM PST. You do not need a kindle, Amazon has an e-book reader that you can also download for free. Be sure to let all your friends know about this great opportunity, but don't wait too long the offer ends on Tuesday 8/6 at 11:59 PM (PST). Here is the link to download the e-book: http://goo.gl/8F2TbU
I promised to let you know about my new source for free photos today. If you have been following my blog & facebook page, you know that I enjoy finding & adapting great images. With this fabulous find from Dream Team Adam, I feel like a kid in a candy store. If you are a blogger or entrepreneur using social media, this is a goldmine of great images.
It is an amazing site with a terrible name, MorgueFiles.com. They explain the morbid name on their site in this way:

#FF Friday's Fabulous Finds: Feel Like A Kid In A Candy Store With Free Photos Galore!

It is an amazing site with a terrible name, MorgueFiles.com. They explain the morbid name on their site in this way:
"A morgue file is a place to keep post production materials for use of reference, an inactive job file. This morgue file contains free high resolution digital stock photography for either corporate or public use. The term "morgue file" is popular in the newspaper business to describe the file that holds past issues flats. Although the term has been used by illustrators, comic book artist, designers and teachers as well. The purpose of this site is to provide free image reference material for use in all creative pursuits. This is the world wide web's morguefile."
Here's what it says about the photos you find on their site:
"free photo You are allowed to copy, distribute, transmit the work and to adapt the work. Attribution is not required. You are prohibited from using this work in a stand alone manner."
The photo that I used with this post was from:
COLORFUL_CANDY_HEARTS.jpg By Ladyheart 6 years, 7 months, 4 days ago
I don't have to give attribution, but whenever I have time I will. For the promotion it did make it easier. I will find a way to give the photographers credit for the great photos when the Amazon promotion is over.
Have a great weekend!
